The Cottage

A charming self-contained cottage with two bedrooms.

This beautifully appointed cottage has many original features including high ceilings, exposed beams and wooden floor boards with under-floor heating and sheepskin rugs. Downstairs there is an open plan kitchen/living room with an antique pine kitchen table that can seat 6 comfortably. The floor to ceiling windows look out across the rolling countryside and the front door opens out onto a small patio area.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms; both have spacious en-suite bathrooms with power showers. The family bedroom has a super king bed (six foot wide) and a single bed. If required the super king can be divided into two singles. The second bedroom has two single beds. Breakfast is served in the main farmhouse; but if you prefer we can deliver a self-service continental breakfast to the cottage. There is also a double sofa-bed downstairs.

Facilities include broadband access, satellite TV in the living room and both bedrooms, and the kitchen is fully fitted with a fridge, microwave cooker and dishwasher.

Stayed for the second year running, in Tyrell, which is very spacious two-bedroomed accommodation - kitchen and large comfortable lounge on ground floor, and two large bedrooms above with en suite shower rooms. This is the ultimate in country comfort. The welcome and service from the team are unbeatable - nothing is too much trouble. Delicious home baking on the table. The rooms in Tyrell overlook the fields in front, with nothing but the sound of birdsong (many skylarks) and other animals nearby. Breakfast in the nearby farmhouse is delicious, with fresh fruit and as much of the "full English" as you can manage. Recommended without hesitation for discerning guests who value peace and quiet.
