We have been hosting weddings since 2002 and in that time we have built a small but fantastic team of dedicated people who will go above and beyond to ensure your day runs without a hitch. Our three day use means we do less weddings than many larger venues, so we can focus on maintaining the high standards and attention to detail you will expect from a Crockwell wedding. We are on hand to help from your first show round through the planning process to breakfast the day after your wedding.
Husband and wife team Bay & Hermione Harper are the original Crockwell couple, holding their wedding reception here in 1987! Crockwell is still a working farm, but, in 1998 Bay started converting the farm buildings one by one to form the extensive facilities we have today. Bay overlooks every aspect of Crockwell from the farm to the wedding venue. He shows a lot of couples around and is in charge of the countless new projects that keep the venue up to date and constantly improving. Hermione runs the office as well as conducting wedding plans and running some days. With her valuable experience, she can guide you through every aspect of your day – avoiding potential pitfalls and making the most of your time here at Crockwell. She is also responsible for Crockwell’s wonderful gardens.
Amy has returned to the office after a break to look after her new baby Hamish. She is the driver for our web-site developments which are always ongoing.
Rosie joined us in 2016 after serving in the British Army. She has settled in fantastically, working in the office, shadowing Laura, and running some weddings. As well as this, her job description covers riding out the point-to-pointers in the mornings!
Laura has been part of the Crockwell team since 2004! She is an expert wedding co-ordinator and is always personally mentioned in our thank you cards. Calm and controlled, she can deal with any situation and will ensure that the day runs without fault and the bride and groom are able to relax and enjoy themselves to the full.
Harriet is responsible for our marketing and is also a helping hand in the office during busy periods. She organises our hugely popular Taster Evenings, where booked couples get the chance to see Crockwell at its best and start the planning process.
Adri looks after the cottages and bedrooms here at the farm. It is thanks to her impeccably high standards that the bedrooms are both immaculately clean and comfortable ready for guests’ arrival the day before each wedding. She also cooks delicious breakfast for wedding guests which receive rave reviews.
Balazs is our head bar-man. As well as running the bar team on wedding days, he makes a mean cocktail and is always popular with guests. Balazs looks after the venue inside and out, keeping the lawns mowed and tidy, as well as setting up for weddings.
We were made to feel so welcome and it was all about us (from our first visit to the moment we left) - exactly what you need when it's your wedding! I normally struggle to relax on big occasions but we trusted the staff to do a great job and they delivered - meaning we could just enjoy ourselves!
